Established in 1995, Mama Africa was born as a celebration of South Africa’s new democracy and the vibrant diversity and hospitality of the African continent.

Since opening our doors, Mama Africa has become a true oasis for both locals and travelers — a place to meet, eat, drink, and connect in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Our kitchen is renowned for its hearty, authentic South African cuisine, featuring unforgettable dishes like our famous mixed grill of Crocodile, Ostrich, Eland, Kudu, and Zebra. Every plate is a bold taste of Africa’s wild spirit.
